Seedlings – Lamha goes international!

The movie Seedlings a.k.a Lamha, starring Aamina Sheikh, Mohib Mirza and Gohar Rasheed, was invited to be screened at the New York City International Film Festival (NYCIFF) which was held on 9-10th August at Times Square, New York this year. The movie was nominated for 7 awards and managed to win 2 of them where Aamina Sheikh won the award for the Best Leading Actress and the movie itself won the award for Best Feature Film which was an audience choice award at the Angelika Film Centre in New York.

The plot revolves around three individuals who are united by a horrific tragedy and follow their lives a year after the event. It is a story of loss and ultimately, forgiveness. It’s about how we find the strength to carry on with our lives, even when there doesn’t seem to be a point to it anymore.

This movie is one of the most anticipated movies of the year and features the song Lamha by Bilal Khan. The movie is set to hit the theatres by December 2012 and is one of the most talked about movies this year and is definitely a MUST WATCH!
