Talking about Khiladi 786, the movie is a remake of Khiladi 420, featuring Akshay Kumar, Himesh Reshammiya, Paresh Rawal, Ileana DCruz, Asin, Mithun Chakraborty, Rajesh Khattar, Raj Babbar, Mukesh Rishi. Directed by Ashish R Mohan amd produced by Himesh Reshammiya, Twinkle Khanna, Sunil A Lulla.

The first teaser of movie was released online on 4th October. It got 1.5 million views in 5 days and some industry watchers expect this film to be the biggest opener of Akshay Kumar’s career.

Keeping in mind the fan following of Akshay in the neighboring country, the team of Khiladi 786 organized a Live Video Press Conference where the Khiladi himself spoke to them and welcomed all their questions at The Royal Palm Golf & Country Club in Lahore on November 4, 2012.

He said “I have been working on having the film’s premiere in Pakistan, for which I will try to come here.”

Pakistan has become an important market for Indian movies, he said.

“I am thankful to the Pakistan government for allowing the screening of Indian films. The basic purpose of holding this video conference was to expand people-to-people contacts through the media,” he said.

Replying to a question, Akshay said he would love to work in a co-production with Pakistani filmmakers and actors.

Recalling his visit to Lahore, he said: “Some 10 years ago, I had gone there. I cannot forget the Lahori food as it was tasty and delicious.”

The video conference also marked the formal launch of the music of “Khiladi 786” as a song from the film was played on the occasion. Akshay said the music sense in Pakistan was better than that in India and that Pakistani singers and musicians were extremely talented.

The movie is set to release on 7th December, 2012.
